Darjeeling Children Welfare Project
The meeting was held at Darjeeling where the Chairperson of Trinity Foundation Biman Raj Chettri and the Chairperson of Darjeeling Children Trust Marilyn Adams and other Trustee Members were present, for forging new partnership of upcoming Darjeeling Children Welfare Project. The project is being implemented from the month of March 2020, for younger children and students of Darjeeling and its surrounding rural areas sponsoring for their education, achieving personal goals at school and colleges and for more young people sponsoring for their vocational courses.
Grace Children Project
The meeting was held among the Chairperson of Trinity Foundation Biman Raj Chettri, Project Director of Grace Children Project, Manoj Kami and our funding partners from Stiefsens Global Aid, Norway and Bar-In-Node, Sweden for the betterment of Grace Children Project and Grace Vocational Training Center.
YMCA
Meeting was held with eastern region secretary of YMCA for the start of YMCA, Siliguri and its supporting projects.
Two days Teachers’ Seminar on “Teaching Learning Method” was conducted on 15th and 16th February 2020 in the project venue at Nagrakatta, Dist. Jalpaiguri, where the teachers of Grace English School (Nagrakatta), Bundapani Emmanuel English School (Bundapani), Eden Christian School (Makrapara), Nepali Christian School (Birpara), Agape Academy (Santalabari), Mt. Zion Mission School (Selphu), Love & Hope English School (Siliguri) participated in the seminar. Lene Fosser Minge, Sigmund Brenna & Anne Catherine Fla were the resource people from Norway.

Inauguration of one day seminar in collaboration with Trinity Bed. College on “The Importance of Non-Formal Education with the preview Right of Education Act”.
• In the year 2019 Biman Raj Chettri was honored by the prestigious Vivek Samman and Avantika Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Award (state award) by Avantika-A Group of Contemporary Artist & intellectuals, New-Delhi
• Darjeeling Children Project funded through “Edith Wilkins Street Children Foundation” - has been awarded with "Best Child Care Institution" award 2018 by West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Government of West Bengal. A letter from the Commission to the District Magistrate, Darjeeling stated that the Home has been selected for its excellent performance and contribution in regards to care and protection of children through institutional care. The letter was signed by Ananya Chakroborty, Chairperson, WBCPCR. The award was received by the Project Director Anujha Ghaley.
The volunteering program focus on University students, young professionals and representative and recourse people from funding partners around the world, aimed to facilitate experimental learning and professional development opportunities for self-motivated, passionate young people in the work areas of related to development(sustainable, local/regional/rural development and community development) cross-culture peace, social & economic empowerment, gender equality, community based healthcare, alternative and informal education.
As a non-profit, we have hosted good number of volunteers in past years and we continue to look forward to receive more volunteers in the coming years.
The internship program is offered to various students from different Colleges and Universities. The student’s intern with the foundation and in its associated projects. The internship program provides the youth a platform by motivating and giving them an opportunity to learn to accomplish their task, develop and refine skills, gain valuable work experience, explore a career path, network with professionals in the field, gain confidence and transition into a job.
